Designer Jason Lai has spent his life immersed in the world of fashion. Raised and schooled in North America and Europe, Jason has always noted with interest how different trends and fads from diverse cultures influence and shape each other. In forging his own path through this confusion of creativity, Jason has sought to eschew the weary and routine offering of other designers and allow his characteristic style to command the attention it deserves.

Matching Jason's insight and innovation is a technical pedigree of the highest order. Learning his craft at Leicester College, England, Jason completed the Footwear Diploma in Footwear Design and technology, a programme made up of professional Degree Certificates in Footwear Technology, Design, and Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing. This demanding  and intensive programme taught Jason everything he needed to know about the practical side of footwear production while encouraging originality in his artistry. After graduating at the top of his design class, Jason spent the next three years as a lead developer and designer at Top Star Shoes Co., Ltd.. In 2006, Jason took his boldest step yet, founding JLai by Jason Lai.

The caliber of JLai footwear is unmatched, a testament to the pride and dedication Jason and his team of artisans have in their work. By founding JLai, Jason has succeeded in more than just the production of footwear, his contemporary classics triumphing where other brands have failed in terms of style, value and above all distinction.
